As Scoutmaster of Troop 132, I would like to welcome you to our website. My name is Bill Genes. If your pack, den or troop would like to visit, please let us know so that we can be sure it’s a visit your boys will remember.
Located in picturesque southern New Jersey, we are close the shore and even closer to historical Philadelphia. What a great place to be a Scout!!!
Troop 132 meets on Thursdays during the school calendar year from 6:45 pm-8:30pm at the Sicklerville United Methodist Church. Troop 132 strives to incorporate the basics of scouting in all activities: those being character development, citizenship training, mental and physical fitness. By employing the ideals of Scouting, expressed in the Scout Oath and Motto, and embracing the “Boy–Led Troop” philosophy, we enable the boys to succeed. The boys design, schedule, and run the regular troop meetings. They also arrange for guest speakers and occasional field excursions. We camp at least 9 times a year, including council events and summer camp. In the months that we don’t camp, we engage in other outdoor activities from hiking to geocaching. We attend many council functions as Garden State Council is a very active council.
We have a number of fully trained and talented leaders, most of whom are merit badge counselors. But just like scouting, we are always actively looking for additional adults to join our ranks.
We hope you see something you like and that you will contact us for a visit anytime.
